Inspired by excursions and experiences shared by the composer and his son, The Adventures of Papi and Bobo is a set of eight character pieces. They include light-hearted games, a march to the Berkshires, a visit to Paris, a sentimental waltz, an exotic black-keyed frenzy, a heart-felt dedication, a Passover song and a nostalgic duet.

Perform any number of movements. Mom's Waltz is often performed by itself. Chinese Luncheon, Mom's Waltz, and Duet are often played as a set. Each movement is one to three minutes in duration. Mom's Waltz is included on A Peaceful Escape, a CD recording by guitarist Steve Sloan.
